Two Gates: From the New Moon of August 23 to the Eclipse of September 21, 2025

On August 23, the first gate opened with the New Moon in Virgo.

It was quiet, almost subtle, but it mattered. We were asked to plant seeds of clarity, to clean house inside and out, to choose simplicity over clutter. Virgo, with her humility, invited us to notice what really matters and to let the rest fall away.

Today, September 21, 2025, we stand before the second gate: a Solar Eclipse in Virgo at 29°, the anaretic degree. It is no longer an entry but an exit. Between the two lies a month-long corridor of trials and revelations, and now the ultimate threshold, where the task is now to choose, release, and cross over.

VIRGO: SERVICE OR SERVITUDE?

Virgo is the one who turns Leo’s fire into something useful, something that can actually feed and heal. She teaches us that true service is not the same as servitude. To serve is not to erase ourselves for the comfort of others. It’s about letting our gifts, our care, our creativity become something fertile, something real.

This is the passage from the shining “I” to the sustaining “We.”And as we step further, we can feel it: this isn’t just about purification. It’s a metamorphosis. We can’t keep confusing devotion with self-betrayal. Those with Virgo and Pisces placements, read that last sentence again

___

STRUCTURES AND CONFINEMENTS

This eclipse opposes Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. It shines light on our daily structures, our habits, our rituals.

All the things we’ve built to feel safe… that may now be keeping us stuck. Yes, we have routines: work, bills, health, responsibilities. But they can also become invisible cages.

The eclipse rattles those bars. What have we built that truly supports us? And what have we built that quietly drains our freedom? These questions are preparing us.

Because what comes after Virgo is Libra.

And Libra doesn’t ask for the “I” to stand alone.

It asks for truth and balance in the “We.”

___

FROM I TO WE

The very last degree of Virgo is a threshold. It closes the cycle of the self: my identity, my values, my home, my daily life. And it opens onto Libra: the cycle of the Other.

Leaving behind the familiar to meet the mirror of relationship is never easy. Virgo asks us, here and now: What do we carry with us into this crossing? Which parts of us are essential? Which parts are asking to be released, so we don’t stay trapped in the past?

This is collective work: what each of us lays down becomes part of what the whole can carry forward.

___

THE SECOND GATE

The Virgo Eclipse slams behind us like a lock. And instantly, Mars is at 29° of Libra, at the edge of Scorpio. He’s sharp, fiery, uncompromising. We can feel the tension: the gentle diplomat on one side, raw instinct on the other.

Lilith and Juno in Scorpio remind us: this crossing awakens the wild feminine, the one that says no to false contracts and yes to regenerative union.

And only days later, Mars clashes with Pluto. Warrior meets Lord of the Underworld. It is the test of fire: to descend into the shadows of anger and power, and rise with something more authentic.

__

THE WARRIOR AND THE GODDESS

Mars entering Scorpio declares: it’s no longer time for silence.

Libra’s harmony has too often come at the cost of swallowing truth. Now, at the edge, what’s been unspoken erupts.

Facing him is Venus in Virgo where she’s modest, quiet, often sacrificial. She seeks perfection but risks losing herself: “I don’t matter. I’m only here to serve.”

The eclipse exposes this tension in us all:

Where do we lose ourselves in service?

Where do we mistake love for obligation?

Where do we disappear for the sake of another?

Mars and Venus stand as archetypes: assertion and erasure.

Our challenge is to find the balance.

To love without losing ourselves.

To act without overpowering.

___

PERSEPHONE: FROM INNOCENCE TO THE INNER KINGDOM

This eclipse echoes the story of Persephone.

The innocent maiden gathering flowers (the last glow of Leo) suddenly swallowed by the earth, dragged by Hades into the Underworld.

Her descent marks the end of innocence. Like her, we can’t go back. Eating the pomegranate seeds means accepting that shadow is part of us.

This is initiation: to unite conscious and unconscious, light and dark, self and other. Only then can a fuller “We” be born.

In the sky, the asteroid Persephone sits at 28° Aquarius, weaving her own web into the eclipse. Myth is not just a story of the past, it lives in the heavens, in our bodies, in this very moment.

- She’s quincunx to the Eclipse: the tension of a lock that will not open until we make the right choices.

- Trine to Mars: the courage and strength to move through with all Libran diplomatic skills.

- Semi-sextile to Saturn: the reminder of limits, yet the promise that limits can be seeds of the future.

Persephone whispers: “Yes, the descent is inevitable but you are not alone. Mars gives you his fire. Saturn gives you his form.

Cross through and you will find your inner kingdom.”

THE 19-YEAR CYCLE

Remember eclipses return every 19 years.

This Virgo gate has opened before:

September 22, 2006

September 23, 1987

Think back. What turning points were you living then? What endings? What beginnings? What choices shaped you, even if you didn’t yet know it?

Now the resonance returns deeper and stronger.

We stand at the threshold with more maturity and more awareness. We are no longer the same. So we ask:

How can we cross this gate differently?

With less fear, more trust, more gentleness, and more love for ourselves. Because what repeats is never the same. It’s a spiral. Each return asks us to turn the weight of the past into living wisdom.

In five months, Saturn and Neptune cross the threshold into Aries. A new journey calls. But today, the message is simple:

Travel light.

Carry only one suitcase.

And let it hold nothing but what matters most.
