The New Moon of 21 October arrives at the 28th degree of Libra, where one cycle ends and another begins. This threshold invites us to purify our relationships: to liberate partnerships, friendships, and collaborations from everything that has ceased to be true.

The masks fall away. Old emotional contracts—those born of fear, habit, or silence—dissolve in the light of awareness. This is not the end of love, but the announcement of its transformation. We learn to love without deception. To speak truth without inflicting harm. To become connected beings once more, not through fear of solitude, but through free and conscious choice.

This lunation invites us to allow the old "us" to die, so that a living, vulnerable, and authentic relationship may be born.

ASTARTE CONJUNCT THE MOON

At this threshold stands Astarte, the ancient Phoenician goddess of love, war, sexuality, and fertility. She embodies sovereign femininity, the union of heart and power, tenderness and edge. At this final degree of Libra, she asks us:

Which relational patterns have reached their end?

What must we release so that a truer love, towards ourselves or another, may emerge?

___

THE SQUARE OF JUPITER IN CANCER

Jupiter in Cancer amplifies our emotions and our need for security. This is Zeus in the Moon's domain: it swells tenderness, but also expectations, attachments, and fears of loss. This square confronts us with excess: the desire to protect until we suffocate, to nurture until we deplete ourselves. The call is clear: to grow without losing ourselves, to love without dissolving, to protect without clinging.

___

THE CONJUNCTION OF MERCURY–MARS–LILITH–ECHO IN SCORPIO

At 20° Scorpio, four forces converge in a blazing dance:

- Mercury and Mars, the messenger and the warrior: our words become blades, our thoughts lightning strikes.

- Lilith, she who refused submission—memory of our free and untamed power.

- Echo, the nymph condemned by the gods to speak no longer freely, only to repeat the words of others. She embodies our loss of voice, when we echo what is expected of us rather than expressing our truth, when we erase ourselves through fear or misguided love.

- Around them, Nemesis, goddess of divine justice who restores balance where excess or injustice has reigned, and Vulcan, god of creative fire, add their forces: natural rebalancing and profound transformation.

This concentration of energies in Scorpio is a cauldron where our truths awaken. Nothing false withstands this intensity. We are called to speak, to burn, to be reborn.

___

HOW TO CROSS THIS PORTAL

1. THE THRESHOLD: LIBRA TO SCORPIO

At 28° Libra, we depart the courteous peace of compromise to enter the visceral truth of Scorpio.

Let us ask ourselves:

Where have we maintained peace at truth's expense?

Where have we been Echo, repeating others' desires and expectations rather than voicing our own?

2. RITUAL OF RECLAIMING VOICE

Under the conjunction of Mercury–Mars–Lilith–Echo, it is time to reclaim our speech.

Let us write everything we have never dared say, to ourselves, to others, to the world. Then let us choose the truths that deserve utterance, even if they tremble.

Lilith does not whisper. She roars, and her cry liberates imprisoned life.

3. THE INTEGRATION OF ASTARTE

Astarte teaches us that love and boundaries, receptivity and assertion, are not opposites: they balance, support, and complete one another.

Where do we need to be both tender and sharp?

Where does our compassion require a spine?

We learn to love without abandoning ourselves.

4. THE CHALLENGE OF JUPITER

Jupiter's square in Cancer asks us:

Do we seek growth within security, or security within growth?

True emotional courage lies in expanding through fear, not fleeing from it.

To grow through vulnerability is to become immense from within.

5. NEMESIS AND THE LAW OF REBALANCING

Under Nemesis's gaze, divine justice acts in silence. This is not punishment, but restoration of order.

Where have we betrayed ourselves?

What truth have we refused to acknowledge?

Recognising our shadow aspects restores rightness and recovers our inner axis.

6. VULCAN'S FORGE

Like Vulcan in his blazing forge, we are melted down, reshaped, purified by fire.

Let us not fear the heat, it is proof that metamorphosis is underway.

What burns today becomes tomorrow's inner gold.

RITUALS TO ACCOMPANY THE TRANSFORMATION

On 21 October, let us create sacred space to:

- Burn a symbol of an outgrown relational pattern

- Speak a truth that has remained silent too long

- Establish a loving, clear, and firm boundary

- Honour our anger as a sacred compass

And let us ask ourselves:

If Astarte were living our lives, what would she do differently?

The anaretic degree speaks of a cycle closing and another opening - truer and more aligned.

The archetypes of Astarte, Lilith, Nemesis, and Vulcan unite their voices to remind us that true harmony arises not from avoiding conflict, but from courageously integrating all our parts: light and shadow, tenderness and rage, silence and roar.

May this New Moon in Libra guide us towards the fullness of our being, towards the untamed beauty of a more embodied truth.
